At the PVSC City Rally, we won a $200 gift certificate to Pirate Upholstery. I was the lucky one who got to use it! I bought another stock seat off eBay, and then I sent it out in November. I wanted it lowed and revamped to look like a Sargent seat with the color-matched pillion and color-matched piping. It turned out awesome -- I'm so happy with it.

I was able to get the bike over holiday break. It's marginally lower, but the comfort wasn't compromised -- put about 65 miles on the bike -- so all is good.

Aaron and I brought in the new year with his brother in Baltimore. But by 4 am, we were done (I'm still chipper, I think Aaron was just tired).

Aaron and I put together our first ride for the NEO scooter crew. We met at Quaker Steak & Lube, rode through the valley to Szalay's, then through the valley to downtown Akron for lunch, and then back through the valley to Rosati's for frozen custard. Aaron then led the crew back to QS&L while I headed back to Akron to let out Kate's dogs. A good day.

Followed by Dallas starting off the season right against Cleveland. I hate that the Browns had to lose for Dallas to win, but that's the way it goes. Go Cowboys!

Last month, Aaron and I went to Pittsburgh for the PVSC City Rally. We got to see and stay with Kathy -- bonus!

Intervention

I really need to stop watching "Intervention." It always makes me cry. The way that people's lives get derailed... and I really doubt that most of them can make it back despite their best intentions.

And "The Hills" is painful to watch, so why am I watching it? It's completely fabricated, and that might be part of why it annoys me so much -- these people are so annoying and pathetic, and they CHOOSE to represent themselves like that. For what? Fame? Money?

Yeah, maybe I'd do it too.

Got a few extra bucks, help a scooterist out!
