I feel like I need to comment on the content and the endeavor itself to write it. First, the content is outrageous. The myths about Columbine are pervasive, and it's incredible how much "we" have gotten wrong. I think we want to believe that killers are outcasts -- it's easier that way. And all of the missed opportunities is -- in hindsight, of course -- is mind-boggling.
Secondly, this work is amazing. I am so impressed by the research involved, the interviews, the delicacy of the subject matter, etc. This is truly a crowning achievement --and the way journalism should be.
