The Weekly Meal Plan


Photographing my meals was a bust, go figure. But planning them out is something I've been doing a lot recently. Maybe sharing them will evolve into me photographing them on a somewhat regular basis.

DINNER
Monday: pizza on wheat flat bread (thick-cut pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, peppers, fresh basil) and salad; I made these last week, and they were really good - and also very attractive (and I should have taken pictures!)
Tuesday: steak, salad, beans
Wednesday: it's group run night, so out afterward
Thursday: tortellini with turkey meat sauce that I'm making tonight, salad
Friday: habanero bison burgers, shells & cheese, salad

None of that, except maybe tonight's pizza, will result in leftovers for lunch. That's a bummer.

LUNCH/AFTERNOON SNACKS
Monday: spinach salad with goat cheese and champagne vinaigrette, yogurt, crackers & hummus
Tuesday: leftover pizza, salad, yogurt
Wednesday: sandwich, yogurt, strawberries, crackers & hummus
Thursday: leftovers from whatever I eat Wednesday night for dinner?
Friday: out

BREAKFAST
Breakfast is even harder to plan out because I kind of just go with whatever I'm feeling at the time. This morning was half of a bagel thin with sunflower butter and jam with a side of strawberries. That's always an option for the week. So are Balance and Zone bars, granola bars topped with sunflower butter and yogurt (maybe mixed with cereal - BooBerry, Grape Nuts, etc.).

I have a decent plan for this week, so food should go okay. Lunches aren't well-planned, but I'll make it happen. Even if I have to buy them!

Probably the cookie dough, although a little sunflower butter on the fudge graham is like dessert!
