Jenny and Johnny

Last night we saw Jenny and Johnny at Beachland Ballroom. I love Jenny Lewis' stuff with Rilo Kiley and her solo stuff. The J&J stuff isn't my favorite, though. It's a little too poppy. However, that said, the show was good. They're good musicians. I was super-psyched when they did "The Next Messiah." I'm thoroughly convinced that "The Next Messiah" is the best song Jenny Lewis has ever done. They also did "Carpetbaggers" and "Melt Your Heart," which were both excellent.
And... one cover: "Love Hurts." OMG. It was amazing (but not as amazing as "The Next Messiah").
