So Much Pretty by Cara Hoffman

I'm not sure exactly what I think because one of the reviews here spoiled the book. The author is to be commended, however, that the spoiling didn't stop me from finishing. I thought about it, but ultimately decided I needed to find out how things got to where they did.
The author uses multiple voices and multiple time periods to varying degrees of effectiveness. The timeline, I could have done without, but I liked most of the voices.
The timing of this book wasn't great for me - I've read a couple of mysteries that involved missing women and violence, so between that and current events, this was pretty rough at times. This is also the second recent book that involved a female reporter. I don't miss reporting AT ALL, but I do respect the role of the journalist - but with that role comes a lot of compartmentalization that can be detrimental to the journalist.
