The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood

I don't know why it took me so long to read this book, but I read the second half of it today.
Every time I read something by Margaret Atwood, I am completely impressed - and convinced I should never be an author. I also always wish that someone were reading the book at the same time so we could discuss.
This book is kind of a sequal, more of a companion to Oryx and Crake. It was awesome drawing the parallels, and I wish I'd read them more closely together. I need to read them both again. I wondered what the experience would be like for someone who read this before Oryx and Crake.
