The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I don't even know how to describe this book. It was heartbreaking at times, of course, but it was also humorous. I loved the different perspective of WW2 Germany. I even dreamed about the characters last night. I can't believe it's taken me so long to read this book! (I can't believe I'd not even heard of it until recently.)
At first I was apprehensive about Death the Narrator, but I grew to like him and his vantage point. It was a great way to tell a story, especially of that time period.
