Tonight is our second run with the running group. It's the third run overall, but we're missing June's "long" runs with the group because of our schedule. That's okay - the long runs right now aren't any longer than what we've been doing.
But moving forward, eek! I just realized that if I go to the Detroit rally, I'll need to get in 10 miles before the ride on Saturday morning. That's a crazy thought, isn't it? 10 miles is too far for before work, so the weekend it will be. But I'm getting ahead of myself. First, 4 miles after work with the group tonight and then 5 miles before Band Camp on Friday.
In preparation for tonight's run, I need to fuel and hydrate today. Thankfully it won't be as hot as it was last week. The hydrating is going well, as usual (drinking my carbonated water along with a little iced coffee), but I haven't eaten anything yet today. What I have -- protein bar, granola bar or English muffin -- doesn't sound good right now, so whatever.
I'm really into iced coffee right now. Guess I need to buy more coffee (I'm not sure I have any coffee at home now).
