Deer-feeding ban passes: "The ordinance bans the feeding of deer on public or private property. It states that deer feeding increases the likelihood of car-deer accidents by drawing large number of deer into a particular area.
A large concentration of deer increases the number of nymphal deer ticks in an area, leads to more plant and landscaping damage and threatens the health of people and other animals, the ordinance says."
Legislation seems weird, but it pisses me off that people are so irresponsible. Maybe if their vehicles were destroyed or their loved ones' lives lost because of an accident with a deer, they would reconsider the appropriateness of feeding deer in city limits.
That goes for squirrels, too! I'm talking to you, neighbor woman.
