I didn't plan this

Me @ work

I was coerced into dressing up today, but I'm glad I did. It's much more fun to work in a negligee. Or something like.

The kimono thing didn't work out. Just too many issues with what to wear underneath - and I couldn't find appropriate footwear.

I wonder how productive we were today. Notice the iPod in the back?

Play Dead: Dog Diagnosed With Narcolepsy - Yahoo! News

Poor puppy. That's just nutty. I never realized that narcolepsy was triggered by something. That's one of the saddest things I've seen, though. Food is one of the more enjoyable things in the world, and Skeeter can't enjoy it!

Maybe I should have it. If I fell asleep, I wouldn't eat so much.

Publishers Sue Google Over Scanning Plans

Honestly, this project makes me giddy inside ('cause I'm a big ol' dork), and I hate to see roadblocks.

Google, in a statement issued Wednesday, called the legal action "short-sighted" and said the project was a "historic effort to make millions of books easier for people to find and buy."

Exactly. I have Google love.

Staff at New Orleans hospital debated euthanizing patients

Our stupid government is going to have a field day with this (reason for striking down Oregon's assisted suicide law?). They weren't there, how could they know what it was like?

I think it should be investigated because we need to know what happened during such a tragedy, so maybe we can avoid it in the future. But the way King makes it sound angers me, and I fear for those he talks about.

I hope if I'm in a situation like that, someone will be willing to do anything to help me. If I'm not going to survive, why lengthen the ordeal, the suffering? Who else is going to save me?

Why, oh why, can't this happen to me?

A gas station store manager's mistake leads to 29-cent gas for 30-45 minutes. Wouldn't that just rock? I'm spending $70/week on gas right now thanks to the commute from Aaron's parents' house. Lovely.

We finished the Tour!

Well, Aaron and I completed the World Tour of Beers last night. We each drank 100 beers, spending an estimated $450 each in beer and about the same in food in the past 10 months. Good god. But there were some really good beers - Left Hand Milk Stout and Bells Cherry Stout were my favorites - but there were also some nasty ones (the one that was a crappy ale served w/ a shot of raspberry syrup comes to mind. Wonder if we'll do it again next year. That probably depends on the party in January, I guess.
